7 acts make up Verdi’s Requiem
and 7 people are required by the composer to perform it
7 sculptures, 7 paraffin busts, made from 7 plaster casts
In the vacuum-sealed requiem, created for the performance One Less Requiem,
the score becomes an object from which Luca De Leva is never separated, not even when he has a shower. The scores, exposed to the daily action of water, become a tangible sign of something ‘intangible’. The vacuum-sealed Requiem is protected from the corrosive action of every kind of cultural bacteria.
